A logo is a vital aspect of any business and needs to represent the aspects of the company which is desirable to customers in a simple manner.

As a company who deals with many different businesses, we have seen good and bad logo designs. Sometimes a logo designer will go "over the top" and create a logo which contains too many intricate patterns and detail wheras an ideal logo should be simple.
It is often that we have seen businesses with logos that may look good as a full page design, but when reduced to letterhead or business card size they lose their meaning. Same too goes for having a logo that looks good as colour and as black and white. (This is exceptionally evident as a flaw when faxing documents with a logo on them and having the logo received as a black smudge on the top of the page.)
