A template web site is a web site that is constructed in a live online environment from a range of different available designs. These sites are much akin to buying a web site from a catalogue where you can browse through different designs and choose the one you feel best suits your business image.
Template sites are very cheap, and it shows. They are the IT man's way of designing a web site. Because they can't design something custom for a client they refute to simply borrowing or buying someone else's work.

22.12.09 Big Run Up To End Of Year
Allcorp Advertising finished contracts with a record number of new clients in the run up to the Christmas holiday period completing 15 new web sites along with the usual plethora of print and design work.
Also in this month was the inaugural North Queensland Motorsport Promotions Circuit Sprint which Allcorp competed in with a Porsche 911 Turbo. A result of 9th overall in a classless field shows room for improvement but is a good benchmark for future events next year.

07.09.09 FNQ Motorsports Club Sprint Series
Allcorp are proud to be sponsors of the latest motorsports endeavour to be launched in the Cairns region, The FNQ Motorsports Club Sprint Series. Our company will be supporting the event with promotional design work as well as the production and management of a web site promoting all of the clubs events and activities, resources for members and a comprehensive gallery and results archive. 06.08.09 What GFC?
Allcorp have been inundated with work in the last two months which poses the question "What GFC?"
Expecting a downturn like most businesses, we have been surprised by the volume of work that has been processed by both our Townsville & Cairns studios in the last 2 months. This work consisted of 17 brand new web site clients, 24 existing client web site rebuilds, half a dozen new IT contracts and a plethora of print design work.

18.07.08 IT People In Advertising
Having as many clients as we do and covering a vast region we often get correspondence from IT businesses to our clients forwarded to us. These emails usually pick at the web site saying it is missing "insert random useless IT phrase here" and that it is important that a web site have these key elements.
Usually these emails are forwarded to us by clients just so we can get a laugh. At the end of the day our clients have great looking web sites which also work.
The IT industry is not a communications industry and therefore has no place in advertising and marketing - which is what web sites are. At Allcorp Advertising we do use IT staff to work behind the scenes, but these people have absolutely nothing to do with copy writing, photography and design because, as a rule, they are not creative people.

At the end of the day if you need to have your computer repaired or want to upgrade to the new version of Windows then contacting an IT person is probably a good idea. Allcorp Advertising has been working closely with a new client who has launched an online trading web site for the local Cairns area. Cairns Secondhand Online allows users to log in and upload images and descriptions of their items that are for sale which are then listed in one of the many sections to be easily found by purchasers.

29.01.08 Busy Start To The New Year
2008 is upon us and it seems there wasn't a holiday at all and with our commencement of work on January 14th we have been flat out looking after our clients.

19.12.07 "The Book With The Yellow Pages - And The White Ones!"
Allcorp Advertising received a letter from the lawyers of one of the phone directory publications advising us of the correct use of their name. This was obviously a very trivial matter and leaves us wondering that maybe if this phone book company (It has yellow pages in it - and white ones!) spent more time looking after their customers advertising needs rather than pursuing matters of an inferior nature, they might actually produce some competent results with their clients advertising money.
As far as we can tell there are two main phone directories in North Queensland and they both have yellow pages in them. So how can they tell us how we can and can't refer to the colour of the pages in their book?
Once again we invite all of our clients to book their advertising production in these phone books with yellow pages in them for next years publication with Allcorp Advertising to get a superior result.
We hope our clients got as much of a laugh out of this as we did.
21.11.07 Abundance Of Print Design Work
Allcorp Advertising has recently been responsible for a huge amount of print design work for our current and many new clients. This work has ranged from the conceptualisation and design of telephone directory advertising for next year's books to a lot of campaign creation for newspaper and magazine publications.

04.01.07 Server Upgrade
We have recently signed a lease with one of the largest internet providers in Australia for all of our clients hosting needs. This new contract means our internet clients will be hosted on the same infrastructure as some of the biggest companies in Australia.
This new platform means your web site and data transfer will be faster and there is also a space limit increase. There will be no extra charge to our clients and all of our new hosting is ADSL2+ efficient.
