This is our newest Cairns website design client who originally approached us for some assistance with their online advertising back in April 2022 when the government was throwing grant money at businesses. Remember those digital marketing grants of $10,000 that were a response to the lockdowns and pandemic? Well we surely do and we also remember the agencies both in FNQ and all throughout Australia who ran off with the money without lifting a finger.

Not to say that our newest Cairns website design client at Linstell Lawyers was treated so poorly, but a lot were and agencies from what we refer to as The Media Gang unscrupulously swindled many local businesses out of their grant money. Well, we know what will end up happening to those agencies and we've already seen them start to fall as expected. (There's some new office space available on Mulgrave Road that provides us with positive inspiration and utter happiness each time we drive by.)

In the case of Linstell Lawyers, they chose a small Sydney agency who was licking their lips with glee when they hooked this client onto a Wix website design. Even better, they managed to take the full $10,000 grant for this Wix website. For newcomers to the world of websites, Wix is an awful website template building product that is just one step below the almost equally embarrassing WordPress platform.

To charge someone $10,000 for a Wix website is tantamount to theft. In our opinion, a website designer should be paying you to take a Wix website because the damage these cheap websites make is appalling.

So the client gets his new Cairns website design from a girl in Sydney who charges him $10,000 for a Wix website that he could have made himself. (It's easy, just go to wix.com to get started, choose your template, add your logo and launch. We estimate that for $10,000 this website designer was probably charging in excess of $10,000 per hour!)

Then the next all to common thing that happens with agencies who belong to The Media Gang, they shut their business and usually head overseas and are never found again. Linstell Lawyers originally asked if we could just maintain their Wix website, but we said the only way we would work with them is to completely redesign the website. (Albeit at much less than $10,000)

So, here's Linstell Lawyers second website. Luckily, they've now found Allcorp who will be able to look after them for many years to come.
