Our favourite accounting firm in Ingham have just had their website updated to start the new year with something dynamic and new. We've worked with Leonardi Accountants for more than 10 years and have helped them stay at the top of their game when it comes to their website design.

In fact, we've helped this company with 6 website versions since we began working with them in 2013. How things have changed in this time. When we first worked with them, they had a yellow pages advertisement and would periodically advertise in the local newspaper. Flash forward to 2024 and these products no longer even exist.

When we first designed their Townsville website, we were in the process of educating the local business owners about the reality of print advertising. Not long after we started working with Leonardi Accountants was when we managed to get the word out to our client base and stripped the revenue from the local newspaper (The Herbert River Express) and reduced the client volume in all of the North Queensland phone books to where those companies are but a shell of what they once were.

While we managed to draw the ire of the newspaper and phone book sales reps with this approach, we had no choice if we were to look after our clients' interests properly. Their products while once necessary, were no longer relevant even as far back as 12 years ago. To see our clients burning their advertising budget on the phone books and newspapers was something we had to put a stop to.

Luckily, today, the remnants of the phone books and newspapers is all but a shadow of what it once was. We'd like to think we had a part of getting rid of these mediums in North Queensland sooner rather than later by educating our Townsville website design clients on the truths about the old print empires.
