One part of their marketing from the 20th century that they were reluctant to let go was their yearly radio advertising campaigns. Allowing a high, 5 figure yearly budget for their radio ads positioning, we worked hard to explain the reality that radio advertising is really a thing of the past and that a far better way of reaching this audience was with YouTube Ads. Fortunately, they listened to our advice and when drawing up their new financial year budget, allocated their old radio advertising budget towards YouTube instead.

This is probably not to the liking of the radio stations, but the reality is that these local stations, alongside the local television advertising channels, are no longer enjoying the listeners and viewers they once had. The audience has spoken and they have moved towards established digital mediums such as YouTube.

To make sure we got the best value out of marketing them on YouTube, our award-winning local video production team went to work producing this promotional video focused on the companies blinds, awnings and zipscreen products. This is the first of a series of video productions we'll be rolling out for our client int he coming months, all with the aim of being used as promotional advertisements on YouTube.

As we mostly manage 30 second, skippable in-stream video ads, our video production for this medium is heavily targeted towards the first 15 seconds of the video as this is the length of time that the video must run before it can be skipped. Very soon, we'll establish their YouTube campaign and are expecting to get more than 50,000 views per month. All of this at a cost that is almost half of what they were spending on the radio stations in the past.
